Im considering waiting until I get to Aruba to find a flight and purchase tickets on either DCA or BE. Seems to me with all the uncertainties and flight changes and delays I might be better off.

Is it true these airlines only take cash? How full should I expect the flights from AUA to Bonaire?

Thanks for your help.

Kevin

Well, you'll be waiting a long time in Aruba to buy tickets on DCA. They went out of business a year or so ago.

BE is pretty much your only choice, and you can get ticketed in the U.S. by some travel agents and tour operators.

Flights were packed when we flew in February. Stand-bys were out of luck. I'd reserve in advance.

my flight was full on BE July 19th - I purchased paper ticket in advance. No line at the ticket counter but no tickets available. One guy said he was there in Aruba because of Air Jamacia and no flights on BE for 3 days.

good luck

Ok,
Check with your accommodations. A lot of the smaller ones are helping out by making reservations for their clients right here on Bonaire, paying for them and then charging the client's credit card. This way you have a guaranteed paid ticket when you get to Aruba.

We purchased our BE rt Aruba/Bonaire on-line at the BE website with AMEX. When we arrived at ticket window, we were in the computer and ready to go. . . Reading about others' problems, feeling lucky we didn't have any.
