It seems like the amount of flights going into bonaire has dwindled over recent years. There used to be charters from Boston. Yet the island is one of the top destinations for caribbean diving. You would just think a Delta, Northwest (especially being part of KLM), or eventually the merged US Airways/America West would look into another non-stop flight from the continental US. Also, could a US airline possibly stop in aruba first then drop off remaining passengers in bonaire? Couldn't that be a simple money grab for a US airline. Some other issues: Does the island limit the number of flights per day???? Or is it the airlines that avoid it??
