My two weeks in Paradise is now one due to A J canceling the Montego Bay to Bonaire leg tomorrow.
Ouch that hurts as the plane was sold out. And I was going to have my 49th Birthday Wednesday with the Talkers and Bas. Oh well Lord just take me now.

Wow, Jerry....that really hurts! I am speechless. Isn't there an alternative way for you to get there at this point other than AJ?? I hope you can work something out so you can salvage most of your two week trip.

Happy Birthday...I think. Carole

Air Jamaica had to cancel due to Hurricane Emily. I have a group arriving this weekend. Some are being re routed but here is the problem: all flights from Aruba to Bonaire are FULL (Bonaire Express) until the 21st. I also heard the AA flights to CUR from MIA are full for days...

This really stinks for all...hurricanes this early are rare..go figure..I hope Jamaica and Cayman fare ok with this new storm. They are already re building after last year's storms. Sigh...

:-(

I'll just wait a week. They did offer to put me up in Jamaica but I'm traveling solo and have no desire to be there. In Chicagoland we are having a severe draught. Most lakes, rivers, and ponds are at record lows. It's so dry here it's almost like being there. Patience.

Today's storm track predictions look as though both Jamaica and the Caymans will miss any real weather, likely even Tropical Storm level. It doesn't help Jerry (and all the others) to know that flights could likely have flown. As an Anglican friend used to say, 'These things are but sent to try us'. :–)

Jerry, wow, that is a bummer...so now you have to wait another week? Can you extend that week to 2? Unbelievable that all the flights on AJ and AE are full...

Hi Brigitte, I guess I've never been on a full flight from SJ to Bon on AE...seems like there are always some empty seats:-) But you're right, summer is here, and everyone is going somewhere (and hopefully safely):-)

Hi Cynde, quite a number of Bonaireans are going to SJ for shopping ... I know several families going today or the week after ... and on Curacao and Aruba the Bonaireans have family, so summer vacation is a great time to fly there ... and people from Aruba or Curacao come to Bonaire because they have family here .....the summer school vacation ends begin August - they have 6 weeks summer vacation
