According to today's Amigoe article, Continental Airlines will begin Saturday non-stop service from Newark to Curacao beginning Dec. 17. They will be operating a Boeing 737 aircraft, most likely the 737-700.

Hey, Tel....things are looking up somewhat! At least CON can get us from Newark into Curaco and we can figure out the rest.....hopefully there are larger planes from Curacao into Bonaire...hate those puddle jumpers! Carole

PS Tel....was that a non-stop flight or is it going to Aruba first? cb

Amigoe said it was non-stop, but Continental has not officially stated anything yet. The article said that the Curacao government and Continental were in the final stages of agreement.

We can only hope! Wouldn't it be really nice if one of those HSV's (like the Naval one in port now on Bonaire)could then zip us from Curacao over to Bonaire lickety split!? I'm ready.

Thanks, Tel. Carole

Carole

We did take the Ferry Chogogo from Curacao to Bonaire a couple years ago, the Ferry was too short and fell into the wave troughs - I have never seen so many green people!!
