Hi,

I was returning from the US to come home on JM from BOS to BON. Our plane left BOS late due to mechanical problems. It was handled well. We made up time and got to MBJ at 11:20. (In the air we were assured all CUR and BON passengers would make their connections). Inside the arrival a rep told the BON people we MISSED our plane. He said it left early??? We had to go to the Holiday Inn. For me it was a pain as I had to spend 45 min. in customs as I had a suitcase full of non tourist items (I live in BON). This is too long to address nor is it important.

The next day at the airport while waiting to get into gate 8 (I hate that wing of the airport where we all sit hostage waiting to get into the gate area below) I heard a group tell my group members we were all bumped because there was a group stranded in MBJ since Wed. Not sure if this is true.

Was anyone on the May 7 MBJ BON leg and WAS the plane full and why did you leave early?? Thanks..

Holiday Inn was pretty basic, food so so...full of very well fed, sun burned Americans. I got a room in building 6...very quiet..the Adult area as I really wanted to rest.

Sorry to hear about your day, Annie. I'd be interested to hear the reasoning behind the early departure, too. I was hoping they weren't messing around with "Saturday" departures at this point in time, but.......Carole

You mean that you arrived to MBJ on a Saturday and they told you that Bonaire bound travelers had been stranded in Jamaica since the Wednesday before? Yikes!

Has anyone out there ever been stuck in Jamaica in route to Bonaire on a Wednesday? I always thought that they would at least get you there by the next day. This concerns me, since we are leaving on a Wednesday for a short 5 day trip to Bonaire.
