We are booked through AJ in June. I have always bought travel insurance in the past and having read about air jamaica it seems like a good idea now. Should I cover the whole trip including air fare or just the hotel?

Doesn't cost much more for everything since it is by $ amount, at least that is the way Travel Guard works. I got the "Essential" package which includes medical and evacuation costs along with the trip cancellation/interuption stuff. I also have DAN medical and evacuation coverages.
