I remember reading something in the Reporter about something called Aruba West. Anyone else hear anything about that?

Bonaire Express: AUA to BON on 2/20 was uneventful, EXCEPT that we were able to make the 1700 flight instead of the 2100 flight. BE actually took off a bit "late" (EARLY for us) in order to fill all the seats. There was a cancelled AJ flight so they wanted to help those folks out later. Repeating earlier instructions - exit AUA terminal and turn right - at end to THAT SAME BUILDING - turn right into breeze way and purchase your ticket (if not already in hand) at BE ticket window - cash. Proceed to next building - enter and all the way to the left side to check your luggage.
HINT: leave one person in line with the luggage and the other to purchase the tickets .....

On the return on 2/26 the 1100 BON to AUA was changed to 1300 and no one was notified. Not a problem since we checked our luggage went "downtown" and had lunch. Uneventful flight from BON to AUA left pretty much on time and was a direct flight.
We fly USAir direct from CLT to AUA.
Heard or saw nothing of a new airline starting service AUA-BON. Hang in there, the connection works. USAir also has a direct from PHL to AUA I believe as well as a direct CLT to Curacao. Many choices.

I don't think US Airways has CLT-CUR service. AA is the only airline with service to the US Mainland.

Darren, You are correct - there is no US Air direct CLT to CUR. All CLT connections go via SJU or MIA and use AA to get to CUR. But with US emerging from Bankruptcy AND the opening of their FLL Caribbean hub, things may change very fast! Maybe even to BON!

Hi

Anybody flying between Aruba and Bon on Bonaire Excel lately? Good or bad experiences would be welcome to hear about.

We have freq. flyer miles on USair into aruba at the moment, and am wondering if we should pay for tickets on ?? that is the problem as reading this site does not instill confidence in AJ or AA. My previous favorite was Delta in Cur and then the Divi. Thanks in Advance. Lydia
