Well the wife and I are booked to stay at Buddy Dive resort March 6-13th. I appreciate everyone's suggestions on getting reservations.

We are going through an agent called Bonairepros.

Usually my wife won't go on a diving trip because I am off by myself. But this has a nice non diving package which she should enjoy.

The only thing I am wondering is how to get a buddy to do the shore dives since I am not going with a group. I'll have to hang a sign around my neck --"Lone diver needs buddy" lol.

Jerry, Buddy's usually does its orientation as a group thing. You might want to mention it to the Buddy dive folks before they begin their orientation so they perhaps can mention it during or after the briefing. Then, during the check-out dive, check out the other divers in addition to checking out your gear...
Also, isn't there a huge blackboard with sign-up areas? Perhaps you can write a little note there.
Whatever you do, I am sure Buddy's will take care of you.

And honestly Jerry, most folks there are more than happy to allow another person in their party.
I know that more than once on these trips I have been more than happy to have a solo diver join us for a dive, no matter where we are diving.

Try this, wait until maybe Feb and start a post here looking for a buddy. Be honest on your skills and what you are looking for. If you don't want a new diver say so or if you are a newbie yourself, make that clear as well. Make the thread title something that makes it clear you are looking for a buddy. Something like "Need Dive Buddy March xx to xx". I did this last Feb and ended up with several offers and had the pleasure of diving with several BTers and made some new friends. Hummmm.... I was thinking Feb but who knows it may be March before I make it myself and I will be looking.
