I just received an e-mail from B.E. stating their luggage allowance and costs for overweight baggage. It reads in part:

"the maximum weight is 20 kilos, and divers are granted 10 kilos extra,extra
luggage is :
1- 15 kilos = 10 guilders ( 6 dollars)
16-25 kilos = 20 guilders (12 dollars)
26-35 kilos = 30 guilders 9 (18 dollars )"

No problem for me, I am taking the extra bag filled with goodies:-{)}

That is great news, Tom. I was worried they would tell you if there wasn't room, they wouldn't allow the extra baggage. Good news for Bonaire, aren't you taking things for Maria Hoppner?

When I had heard that BE charged a lot for excess baggage I was disappointed. But I do not consider the charges listed above high by any standards.

Tom, had I known it was that reasonable to be overweighted (the bags - not me), I would have been able to pack all my tiaras, instead of only the one I wore. Now I know for next time.
