Help please, My wife and I are looking to emigrate from the UK to Bonaire. We own a parakeet which we would like to bring with us but KLM only transport cats and dogs! Does anyone have any ideas? can we fly to Aruba and will Bonaire excell allow us to carry the bird on an internal flight. Any help will be much appreciated.

I have a similar problem. Air Jamaica takes no pets. American Airlines dogs and cats only. Last year Continental Airlines was willing to take a parrot under the seat in a box in the cabin to Central America. Surely there must be a way to do this....Please let me what you find out.

Antony - I can't help you there, but just wanted to wish you all the very best with the move and hope you will both be very happy.

Corrected information: American, Delta, Continental, and USAirways all permit pets including parrots. Only American flies into Bonaire, and I don't know if their rules change on a turboprop. I have no idea what could be done by puddle-jumper once you got to Curacao or Aruba....too bad there isn't a boat.
