Hi folks. I am leaving Austin, Texas to travel to Bonaire, via Dallas and San Juan stopovers. I have my daughters passport, certified birth certificate and papers that somewhat vaguely states that I have temporary custody of her. Anything else that we will have to have upon entry? There is the possibility of getting a notarized letter from her estranged father giving permission for me to take her out of the country on this trip but we're not counting on it arriving in time

As far as I know, Mexico is the only Caribbean/Central American designation that requires the permission letter from the other parent. I have taken my daughters to the Bahamas with no problem. My ex did have to present the letter that I gave her when she took one of the girls to Mexico.
