Trying to find a direct flight from State College, PA, on Travelocity, I found that you can now get flights from Aruba to Bonaire through Travelocity on something called "Dutch Eagle Express." Since the flight times and prices look the same, I'm assuming these are the same operations under different names, no? Has anybody purchased a ticket for the Bonaire-Aruba run through Travelocity and had it work? And is it REALLY impossible to make the 3:30 Aua-Bon flight if you get in around 2:00 on a Sunday?

BE and DEE are two different airlines. DEE is actually DCA the former ALM. It is not impossible to catch the 3:30 flight if you arrive at 2:00. But you better be having some good luck...long delays in immigration and customs and then the wait to have BE print your ticket will cause you to go crazy...you will say.."why do they do it this way"... don't forget, they close the check in counter 30 min prior to the flight so you really only have 1 hour....it is always worth a try...take some tagamet with you

FYI - Our tourism board has just announced that BE has signed an agreement with Continental Airlines which means that you should be able to have a BE ticket issued on Continental ticket stock in the US. How long this will take to go in effect is something I don't know. The news was dated April 23th.

This might (or might not) mean that you could check your bags straight through to Bonaire if you are on Continental. I don't know how the airport in Aruba will handle this.

Dutch Eagle Express and BonairExel are the same airline.

See http://www.klmcargo.com/tds/newspage/press_releases/KLM_OPTIMIZES_ANTILLEAN_NETWORK.jsp?ComponentID=12044&SourcePageID=8183

The above link states: "KLM will be cooperating with its new partner, Dutch Eagle Express NV, which will be operating its flights under the name BonairExel."

DCA is Dutch Caribbean Airlines/Airways - different company.

Jake
