I've started looking at airfare for the annual President's Week pilgrimage next year ... $738 for adults on AJ from Newark - Yikes !! and to make things worse this is the year my oldest child kicks up to adult fares!

It's my understanding they are not providing discounts this week to the travel agents and given the school calendar it's this or find a cheaper place to go.

Any suggestions to lower my costs?

Hi, I'm not sure if this will help, but I just talked to Dawn at Caradonna and she was able to save us over 150 per ticket off the AJ website prices for August this year. Don't know what is up for your week but it might be worth a call. Jeff

President's week is expensive from the NY metro area. I just got the same price quote. AJ knows it's a hot week out of NY

Don't even think about the prices from the UK!

Looks like the 2/19 flights into Montego Bay are the problems. We're going to take the kids out of school 2 days early & arrive on 2/17 (Thursday) and save enough to almost pay for the 2 nights extra lodging.

I paid under $650/ticket for my Feb04 trip - bought the tickets in early April last year. Looking on expedia - it's $50 cheaper to fly out of Boston, Philly or Baltimore. Oh well, I'm ticketed and will just start the countdown now...something like 300 days to go...

The problem flight is 2/19 into Montego Bay - the MoBay to Bonaire flight is wide open.

Anyone has suggestions on how to go from Brazil to Bonaire without having to go to USA and then back south?
Also would like to know on how to go from Bonaire to the Bay Islands in Honduras. Any idea?

Robson,

I had 3 guys from Brazil come to the windsurf event. One went via Caracas/CUR and the other two via MIA. It's the only two ways I know. Another friend heads to Panama today from BON and has to go to MIA.

KLM goes to Lima and Quito maybe those might provide a good connection.

Thanks for the ideas.
Can you give an idea of ticket prices from CUR and Aruba to BON? Also from Lima to BON?
I tried KLMīs site but there you can only check prices from the Netherlands to somewhere else, not from Lima or from BON.
Are there any options to go by ships from BON to Honduras, Belize or anywhere close to these places?
