My husband and I will be coming to Bonaire in January 2005. I've been playing tennis for the last 10 years and would like to know if I'd be able to set up some matches with locals or visitors on the island. I'm not sure yet where we'll be staying, but we'd like to stay for two weeks.

Come over to Mango's Restaurant when you arrive (at the Sand Dollar Resort) and ask for my husband Jan (pronounced Yan). He'll be able to get you started/introduce you to some of our local tennis club members, because we also have two tennis courts & a pool right next to the restaurant (and bar, so your husband will also have something to do...). Tuesday & Thursday nights are casual (mixed-whoever shows up) self-organized round-robbins; if you prefer mornings, many of the ladies like to play then-early, before it gets too hot. I'm sure you'll find as many 'matches' as you want.
