If you can leave from NY at 8:00 AM, you can fly New York-Bonaire via Montego Bay on Air Jamaica. Arrives in Bonaire at 3:15 or so.

Karen,

Check out Air Jamaica (or else) from Newark.
There is a Mariott near the airport where you
can stay overnight downbound (the departure
is early!) and leave your car for your time in
Bonaire. Probably less expensive than a limo
and more relaxing than getting up in time for
CT Limo on flight day.

We are planning our first trip to Bonaire in connection with a wedding we will be attending in Venezuela. We will most likely be flying into Caracas, then going to Bonaire for a week, then back to Venezuela [ Merida ]for a second week. After this we will be leaving from Caracas .
This will not be taking place until September 2001 and it seems like a long time away , but would like some suggestions on Airlines etc. We will be traveling from Minneapolis, Mn. We have been told that flying in and out through Caracas would be the best. Price is very important.

I forgot which airlines are coming from which city, but there are about 6 or 7 from the States, like AA, United, Delta, TWA etc.
For the moment the connection to Bonaire is only done by ALM - via Curacao. But they talk about Bonaire Airways - buisiness people of Bonaire will start (April??) with 3 Beeachcrafts to connect to Curacao, Aruba and Caracas and than it would be only a 30 minute flight.
So I guess you can start your arrangements to fligh into Caracas and just wait a little longer with the connection flight to Bonaire.
