Anony, check out Air Jaimaca. We went from LAX to Bon in September, and have nothing but good things to say. Unless you are going directly to San Juan with no stops, I would check into AJ. You stop in Montego Bay for 4 hours or so, but they let you hang out in the First Class Lounge until the flight to Bon the paradise! We got off the plane, hung out (slept on the really nice couches) had free coffee, danishes, etc. Their service was good. The American wasn't a choice after looking into all, as we would have to had a lay over in Miami and San Juan. It would have been an extra 10 hours in airports.

Air Jam is super unless they decide to lay your over in Montego Bay.. then you lose a day's vacation. Can happen anyway, anywhere. Right now THE route seems to be Miami to Aruba to Bonaire and the rates are CHEEEP.

Kelly, I have to disagree, going that route adds more long lay over hours to your flight getting to Bon from LAX. You are a bit closer than we are. Most folks I know from the California, go AJ. You risk the chance of getting stuck anywhere, with any airline, anytime...IMHO...Any other left coasters have different experiences?

Cynde... where do you connect through, Miami, Dallas, Houston or Atlanta??

Kelly, AJ goes from LAX right to Mongego Bay, then direct from Montego Bay right to Bon. No other stops!

Damn, that is a loooong time in a 737... I can see why you are good on that route.

The flight from LAX to MB is only 6 hours and some change, time change hurts though!
