Have been reading with interest the whole BonairExel thing. We will be in Bonaire for the first time in February and the day we leave for home we fly out of Aruba to Toronto at 4:10pm. If we take the 1:00pm flight from Bonaire, does that leave us enough time in Aruba to retrieve our luggage and check in to Air Canada? I don't think Canadians clear Customs in Aruba so that should help, but I'm a bit concerned that we won't have enough time with security and all, and wonder what happens if the Bonaire flight is delayed. Otherwise we would have to take the 7:45am flight and spend all day in Aruba with our luggage - not an attractive option. Are there lockers at the Aruba airport?

You should be ok on the 1:00 flight but don't piddle around...the BE flight should be on time but it will take you an hour to get thru the Aruba b.s. (assuming they haven't corrected the problems by then). I definately would not take the 7:30 am flight and spend the day in Aruba airport unless Air Canada will allow you to check your bags early...the airport in Aruba is the pits for a long layover and unless you rent a car for the day, its a pain to haul bags around. good luck... hopefully more people will write in about their experiences of going thru Aruba.
