Does anyone know if there is a movie theater in Bonaire? Or did it close? (According to the archives there was once one, but I think it closed.)

Yes, the theater is open again! I believe it has two shows. I think there is now a video arcade next door, as well. The theater is downtown. The films are a little behind the US releases, but it is still great to have the theater up and running again. Carole

We are landing next Saturday afternoon, Carolyn! Maybe our paths will cross during our stays on the island. You will fall in love with Bonaire and her people and her natural beauty...cactus, rocks, donkeys, birds, fish, etc, etc. You are in for a treat. Carole

The theater is a single screen theater showing different 2 movies a night (closed Mondays or Tuesday - I forget which) - movies are a couple of months or so behind U.S. releases. We went to a matinee of Jungle Book 2 today - kids enjoyed it greatly.

They didn't update it yet, apparantly. This week it's The Life of David Gale at 6.45pm, and Tears of the Sun after that. Bring a sweater when you go, because it can get very cold in there.
