There reportedly is some tennisschool there, started by Elizabeth from Harbour Village. I don't know how it works, I must admit... I've only been using Plaza's courts up till now.
If you do want to play, either go very early in the morning (7-8ish) or wait till the sun is gone.

Hi - thanks for the response - do you have to stay at the Plaza to use their courts? RA

We have 2 newly resurfaced courts at Sand Dollar, next to Mango's Restaurant. Anyone can play (non-marking tennis shoes only please!)-fls 25/hour ($14.29) daytime, fls 35 ($20) at night, if you're not staying at Sand Dollar. Tel 560-6170 (anytime) or 717-3985 (12-2 or 6-10pm) to reserve, or just stop by Mango's. We'll help you find a partner too, if you need one.

Also handy, they're right next to the bar.

Dave,
Since the bar is about 'half-way' between the courts and the pool, I think NO shoes would be more appropriate at the bar.
Although it's now been a month since I was there, I don't remember seeing a
"No Shirt"
"No Shoes"
"No Service!"
sign.
