Hi,

For anyone coming down here in the next couple of days/weeks, either from Europe or the US, and is willing to bring along a few items, you'd help us an awful lot with:

- A Canon EF 50mm 1.8 II photolens (should be somewhere around $70-$90, gray market is okay)
- Fuji Velvia slide film (up to 10 rolls)
- 2 hp 20 black inkjet print cartridges (C6614DN) for the HP640c
- 1 hp 49 tri-color inkjet print cartridge (51649A)

If you can bring us one or all of these items, please mail us at marc71@xs4all.nl .

Marc,

Shouldn't you get yourself a Bonaire e-mail address? I could help you with that, you know :-)

Marc -

We are headed down from FL this Fri. Did you get what you need? I can probably help with the printer cartridges, as I have to make an Office Depot run before I leave for Bon.

Thanks Cindy, Peter and Karen for your offers... If all goes well, Cindy will bring it along... fantastic!

Jake, my mom is using my internet account in Holland, so I could hold on to my XS4all addresses (I have about 6 or 7 of them). The servers are very, very reliable (not saying yours aren't! :-)), and it has a great webmail interface... plus one of the best set of spamfilters you could wish for. So thanks, but I'm fine with this, at least until we get an account at home (we're holding out for cable internet to arrive, if they make the "end of April" promise)...

Actually, we have WebMail and spam filtering too, but as I recall from your comments about BonaireTalk's simple interface and strong desire to add lots more features, I doubt our WebMail is complicated enough for to be happy using :-)

How is the hunt for the right job going? A techie without a ICT job is not living live to the fullest.... (Spoken by a person who knows techie live.... :-) )

Hi Marc, yes I did pick up all your items today...the lens is coming from Orlando as it was nowhere to be found in the Tampa Bay area. Only $6 mail charge, I will receive it tomorrow. I got the film, tell me, should I make sure it does not go thru the airport scan machine? I got the printer inks, 2pk at Sams Wardhouse club for black and white, and 2pk for color is 48.83 + tax or 31.99 + tax for 1 pk. Which do you want?

Great Cindy! If you can arrange it, then not having the film go through the scan would be better of course... However, Velvia is 50 ISO film (very slow), so don't worry about it if it does.
If a 2pk is that much cheaper, then I'd prefer that one; we'll use it anyway. :-)

Martin, I don't miss techie life all that much :-)

Marc,

(-: since when did you start drinking? You have only been working behind the bar for three months and already on the booz.

You should ask Liesbeth what looney is. I'm trying to finish two weeks of work in two days. You can guess the state I'm in.

CU in 10 days.

Peter, I'll reserve a spot on the beach for you so you can wind down a bit when you get here :-)

Martin, with the windows closed, it's much too warm, which wouldn't help our mood at all!

Departing for Bonaire Saturday 3/29. Anybody need anything? Already bring keyboards and mice for Jake and vitamins and bird food for Dara.
