Jake, or whom ever:

I am trying to send a letter and some photos to an acquaintance in Bonaire. However, I am having trouble reading the handwritten address. The street number looks like 717-3g06 or 717-3986. the question is it a "g" or a "9". The "0" or "8" is an issue also, but I do not think we can figure that one out with logic. Is it more likely that a letter of a number would be in this location in this address?

Also, do I need to write anything other than the street address and Bonaire N.A.?

Thanks

Dave

Uhm, Dave, could that number be a phone number? It *sure* looks like it.

You might be able to find the address via this website (Telephone guide): http://www.bonaire.ws/
It's on the left on the screen. First you'll see "Yellow Pages 2001" and when you scroll down further you'll see "Telefoongids 2001". Then click on the line that will have the three first letters of the last name you are looking for.

By the way, Bonaire's streetnames and numbers tend to look like this 'Kaya Scheveningen 17' or 'Kaya J.A. Abraham 124'. So, the housenumber at the end.

Hope this is getting you a step further... Good luck... :)

Ok. Now I look pretty stupid. You are correct it is a phone number. I have the address also, and I thought this was the Zip Code.

So, if I have the street address and "Bonaire N.A." is that all I need?

I recommend "Bonaire, Dutch Caribbean". N.A. could end up in Namibia or Georgia (North America).

Thanks Jake and Kitty. I am set.

Cool link also. It will come in handy. After all the searching I have done over the years for cars, lodging, whatever, it looks like that site is realy what I needed.
