Hi all,

I think I just missed Meryl, so I'm hoping someone else reading this might be coming down in the next few days. We've been doing a print run on our new Epson 2200 archival printer, and just ran out of a key ink. We've got new ones coming down by boat in a couple of weeks, but are stuck until then.

So, if some kind soul could take pity on us (and wants a signed print of Linda's famous Flamingo painting as a "thank you" (you would have to wait until we get the new inks installed :-) ), here's what we need (the ink carts are about $12 each, paper is about $17/packet):

# neededEpson PartDescription
2T034620Light Magenta Ink Cartridge (most urgent)
1T034220Cyan Ink Cartridge
1T034320Magenta Ink Cartridge
1T034420Yellow Ink Cartridge
1T034520Light Cyan Ink Cartridge
2S041341Archival Matte Paper 8.5x11 - 50 sheets

And, if multiple of you manage to buy these things - no problem, we would gladly accept (and pay for) extras.

Thanks in advance to any who can help!

Jake

We are headed down on Monday. We arrive late (the AA flight). But we should have room to fit these in. Is this stuff that is available at any office supply place? I will check with the ones near us and post it if I can get it.

We are staying at Lions Dive.

The Epson 2200 is pretty new and pretty specialized. It's possible that your local office store could have these things in stock by now. I know that some Best Buys stock these inks, as do other computer stores.

Our house is less than a mile north of Lion's Dive. Thanks for helping out!

Dave,

Just assume we will still be in need. We can always use spares of these printing supplies even if we get duplicate mercy deliveries! Thanks!

Jake

PS Did you catch the StreetCam image of the case of Amstel Brights I bought so I could make sure to have a few chilled bottles waiting for you Friday? Check around 2:30pm today in the archives :)

Sweeeeeett!

How could I (we) have gotten so lucky!

As Activities Director of the Rincon Athletic Club, please let me express my gratitude for the much needed refreshments (or at least they will be by the time we get to Bonaire!!). Also allow me to say that the R.A.C. is always available to lend a hand to those in need - or Jake.

Jake, I hope you got more than just two cases! My wife drinks a lot - can you blame her??

See you on the 29th.

Actually, the cases in the pictures were for the post-clean-up dive potluck BBQ today. I did leave a case of Brights sitting on the gate post for about 10 minutes though. Some of *those* are yours :-)

UPS just delivered all the requested items this morning. So I put them with all our other stuff and will be packing it all up tomorrow afternoon. Then we will be set to leave the house at 3:30am Monday morning. Normally that would be a terrible time to be up but since we will be on our way to Bonaire - Wahoo!!!!!

I still find it amazing that I could place an order at 4:00pm, the order is called into a location that is an hour ahead, they ship it out and at 9:30am the next morning the entire order is sitting on my front porch. We live in an amazing age.

2 more days and we're in paradise!!!

Jake,

I bought the Krispey Kremes last week to bring down to you this week (just kidding I will get some fresh ones on Wednesday night) but if you still need any printer or other (not too heavy) stuff, email me by Wednesday afternoon.

Thanks for the offer! I think, with Mike & Debbie's heroic efforts, we're all set for tech goodies. Looking forward to meeting you!

On second thought, if you have the space, I think it's Clementine season in the U.S. now? (those are those small little seedless tangerines they sell in wood crates for $6/crate at the supermarket). There are no restrictions on bringing fruits or veggies to Bonaire, so if you have the luggage space... :-) (We are starting to get them here, but they get about 2-3 of those crates for the whole island, while we can eat one by ourselves in a matter of days :-)
