If you're on Air Jamaica we're on the same plane. I'll be solo and staying at Buddy for the same time frame.

We are, leaving out of Chicago at the ungodly hour of 6:15! We're right next door, at Lion's Dive. We should try and hook up.

Gary, Snork, Scott and Sharon and Karl...we will all be there at the same time give or take a day....We are staying at Belmar....maybe an evening cocktail can be arranged....Of course Jake, Linda and kids...and Bas and Michael would have to be honored guests (Annie when are ya going back?)....Maybe we could do a happy hour at Lions Den or Bongo's or Captain Dons...

Oh gosh...sorry Renee,,,you will be there also......what can we arrange....

I live in Chicago myself. I'll therefore be in line with you at 0 dark 30 at the AJ counter. Cruel and unusual punishment if you ask me. lol
But considering where we get to end up before bedtime, I guess I'll just have to tough it out.

I'll be the tired looking old fart with a moustache in the white baseball cap with green "SLS" on the front. I have a dandy little Daewoo minivan (courtesy of Netty's) waiting for me at Flamingo airport if you need a ride over to Lion's Den. It apparently seats 4-5 so since there's just me if your group is 3-4 or less there will be loads of room.

I can hardly believe it's only 30 days away. New .5 mil full suit and 3mm tropical beanie are going to get a workout.

We'll look for you. We live in Ann Arbor, so we have to drive over the day before, and spend the night near O'Hare. It's just hubby and me-he's tall and thin, blond, mustache. I'm not as thin (!), 5'6", both middle aged. We'll be tired looking as well.

Thanks for your very kind offer; we also have a car waiting for us. But let's try and get together for a dive and/or a drink.

I have a .5 mil microprene and I love it. I just got a BC so will be testing that out as well. My, diving brings lots of toys, doesn't it?!

OK, here's my calculations to date. It appears that there will be two separate meanderings of fine BT folks on the island next month. It looks like there will be several opportunites for a get together amongst us all if we want.

Anyone have any preferences for eateries/dates/times?

Emi and I are real flexible when it comes to food. We both very adventurous, but realize that not everybody else is. Also since we don’t really have any agenda or scheduled activities we’re flexible on which date! It would be great to have Jake, Linda and gang along with Bas and Michael G. join us as Meryl suggested. Perhaps we should check with them if they are interested and have any particular availability.

Calling Jake, Linda, Bas, Michael, (the Bonaire Ambassadors Corp.) would any of you care to join us? I would certainly like to meet the people whose postings I’ve been reading and corresponding with for two years. We’re open for suggestions on a date and time that would be convenient for you folks.

I ditto that for the first period. My suggestion is the 9-th or 10-th. Where, Gibi's is great, but I've heared about hollandse grill as well. That's a place we've never been (yet...)

It's Hullandes Grill Martin. And that's where I'm putting together a BTalkers dinner when most of you won't be there, Dec 8. I haven't been there, but have heard from many that it is very good and accomodating if you let them know in advance how many are coming.

One of the best places has just returned to its original owners. Antriol catering is back and makes the best a la parillia in town. It is on Kaya Mariana of Kaya Korona.

What is parillia? And what is Kaya Mariana near? I know Antriol very well but cannot recall the name of that street..sounds good..another stop for us Michael??

Parillia means grilled and marinated with a very tasty sauce. You go North on Kaya Korona until the Lagoen Rd...take a right...Kaya Mariana is the third street on the left...go to the top of the hill. It looks like a small snack, but the back has a real nice covered eating area. Yes, Annie, it is a "date"...Magggie too of course.

So who's up for a dinner Nov6-16th? Let's make a plan? Would love to see Jake and Linda again, and would love to meet Michael and Bas. Takers?

We'll be joining you guys, but then it has to be before the 11-th, that's the day PBD strikes us....

Scott...we changed our tickets..we are going air Jamaica now...they were going to have us come back Sunday at 7am...Bonaire to San Juan...and not arrive in Phili till 10pm! so we cancelled and rebooked with Aj...{we used our travel miles so I guess we get bumped first) But we will see you at Flamingo Airport..!!! Can't wait..

Michael, our date is on for Antriol..those directions are piece of cake. Up the road is where I buy my piska salu i pan...Hmm..(salt fish and bread)...2 guilders..Also at the end of the road is another local place with music at night..right on the water..and then water's edge is a lovely place to sit at dusk to hear the waves ...nice...Mags and I loved it there..

I went to Hulandes with Annie in August. Food was okay (I liked Gibi's goat stew better), but heck if I could find it again. For the kids it was good because they had a TV to distract them with :-)

I'd actually support Michael's suggestion of Antriol Catering (which is not quite as difficult to find as Hulandes, but also not nearly as easy as Gibi's).

Sorry, I was raised in an acronym intensive household in Washington, D.C. the birthplace of many governmental acronyms. Some of the cards I got from my mother while I was away @ school were virtually indecipherable streams of symbols and acronyms.

I actually was a contractor for NASA several years ago working on a product whose name was an acronym for a series of acronyms. Hi tech meets government-eez.

I live in the far south burbs about 20 minutes away from their Orland Store..how bout you?

Maybe we could hang out down there and do a dive or two or three.....not sure how much time we are going to have. All non-married couples are going so it should be an interesting time.
