I came across a comment on the Total car rental website that states that they no longer accept AMEX because the local banks aren't providing administrative support for it.
So I'm wondering if this is true for Telerin-who is the company I prefer. Is AMEX being accepted by anyone on the island? The overseas truck rental insurance with it is unbeatable.

I had an e-mail exchange with Telerin this week in which Poppy was stating that they accept ALL credit cards.
