Hopefully we will get something going a little closer to that time. We will be there March 1 to 19.

Dan ... you sound almost as anxious to get to Bonaire as we are! We arrive Feb 22 and leave Mar 3.

Alan and I arrive on BON Feb 12. He leaves 2/21, but I get to stay until 3/21 (or something like that!).

Just got back from a grueling trip to China and Bali (great trip, but the travel makes ROC-BON look like a Sunday-school outing by comparison...). Picked up a nasty bug just before the return home, so it was particularly looonnng and miserable. Will be better by Feb, I hope...

Oh, we are a pathetic bunch! I'm glad I'm not the only nut out there looking forward to February! I will be there mid Feb til end of March. Looking forward to putting faces with names. Sorry I missed you last year Chet. We missed Jake & Linda's March BT BBQ because I messed up the date (by one day). We loaded up the car with the salad, potato salad, brownies but noticed something terribly awry when we pulled up to Jake & Linda's...no cars. We slinked off with our tails betw our legs, looked at the calendar when we got home, saw that it was LAST night, and so we had potato salad for days. See you in Feb and March!

OOPS, Chet, I think you're right --- did plan on a little later this year. I'll pull out the tickets and let you know for sure. I think Tuesday nights at Giby's is a great idea again, it was lots of fun last year seeing who turned up, and meeting new BTers.

Yes, chet, it is February 29 - March 12. Our first week will be at the deluxe Deep Blue View Bed and Breakfast, then the rest of our time at our "home" on Bonaire - Bonaire Town Homes --- can't wait!

Debbi, how are you getting there? Our friend Bill is planning to join us and he hasn't booked his plane yet. Although we're booked, I like to know what the options are from this part of the world. I'm glad you're staying longer --- how about some night dives??!!

Diver Debbi- What is the way you found around the 30 day rule? What is the rule anyway? I know that the airfare goes up significantly if the stay is longer than 30 days, is that what you're referring to, or is it a Bonaire (gov't) rule about not staying longer than 30 days? Thanks for sharing!

Kate, it is 90 days.

Actually, when I booked direct with airt Jamaica I had no problem staying for longer than 30 days, it is no longer an "excursion" ticket is what I was told and hence ineligible for package airfare discounts from hoteliers
