My husband and I will be in Bonaire in the middle of October staying at the Plaza Resort. While we both enjoy snorkeling and other outdoor activities we are not really interested in the nightlife. Can anyone tell me what TV stations are available in Bonaire such as CBS,NBC,ABC,FOX or HBO?

We had approx. 31 chanels on our tv at the Divi, some were not in english. The most we watched was a sport station and CNN, I also watched a couple of movies but have no idea what chanels they were on.

night life in bonaire is an oxymoron.late dinner sit and look at the water and go to sleep.this is a quiet island where many people have early morning dives.it is one of the charms of the island. there are 2 small casinos a movie theater(sometimes) and a disco sometimes.and wonderful people to talk to.it is not your average caribbean island.

Patricia,

Last I knew, the cable TV on Bonaire had HBO, Showtime, ESPN1 & 2, Discovery, TNT, Disney, Cartoon Channel, and NBC as the American stations. We dropped cable about 18 months ago, and currently sport a couple of dishes instead :-)

Jake

PS And Darlene, you could always come to our house and show us your pictures - our TVs have input jacks :-)

Jake, You are too kind!!!!! We usually don't rent a vehicle so it would be difficult to get to your house. We wanted to use it for editing purposes and of course a smile or two each day when we view them!! We still have not solved how we are going to handle the scads of pictures that myself and Tom will take. Heck, I used a 128mb stick at the Aquarium the other day, can you just imagine what I will do in Bonaire?!! :) I think we are leaning towards purchasing more memory sticks because it is the least expensive way to go.

Then you should also buy a memory stick case. Ours holds six I think and was very handy in London. Only one case to grab for in the bag and not six individuals to paw through trying to find the right one.

Adorama (mail order place in NYC) has them - 4 or 8 memory sticks. Called "Memory Stick Wallets".
