My wife and I will be traveling to Bonaire in a couple of weeks for a week of diving(second trip). She sleeps in and I am an early riser that plans on bringing my fly rod for some early morning bonefishing on the flats of the windward shore. I am having problems finding any info on fishing regulations for the island.

Can anybody steer me in the right direction?

Thanks, Bruce

Good luck with your fishing..There have been some other postings on this site so just do a keyword search (below)to read.
In the interim try this site..
http://www.bonairefishing.com/

You may want to hire a local guide for your first outing. Spotting the bonefish can be extremely difficult.

Thanks Chris and Michael for your helpful advice. What I was really hoping for was regulation advice: Is license needed ? If so where to purchase ? Lands on windward side that are open or closed to fishing, etc.

Bruce

You can also fish anywhere except on private property or where divers and snorklers frequent. They really do object to being hooked.
