teresa, welcome to bonaire talk. wetsuit thickness is a matter of personal preference. until this year i dove bonaire year round in a polartec-lined skin. this year i got tired of getting cold so i bought a 5 mil hyperstretch from the carib inn. i was very comfortable in it. my wife has been using a 3 mil and is generally comfortable in that. that said, we've seen others diving in tee shirts and bathing suits and others diving in 7 mil suits with hoods. water temps right now are between 79 and 81 degrees at 60-70 feet.

Our family always heads to Bonaire between late May and late June. We dive in 3/2mm wetsuits. My mother-in-law and I run a little cold and always make sure to have hoods or caps as well.
