Can anyone tell me when the carnival dates for 2009? I think it takes place in February or March.

Feb 22 is the first celebration.

The Bonairean carnival celebrations are a sight for sore eyes, with people clad in wildly colourful and decorative costumes of all shapes and sizes parading down the streets of Kralendijk to the insistent beat of Caribbean music.
The electric atmosphere steadily rises from the Children's Carnival Parade on 26 January to the Adults' Carnival Parade on 3 February, and culminates with the frenzied and truly unmissable Grand Finale Evening Carnival Parade two days later on 5 February.

On the Grand Finale Evening King Momo, the Carnival King filled with straw, is sent up in flames to the accompaniment of fireworks and the merriment of the crowd.
