Hello All BT'ers:

Linda and I have less than 30 days before we embark on our much anticipated first trip to Bonaire. We are very excited about the trip, the diving and a chance to meet some of the fine folks we have been reading about here on BT.

We will be traveling on May 2nd. Leaving Iowa in the afternoon to Houston and arriving on Bonaire the morning of May 3rd.

It just so happens that May 2nd is Linda's Birthday, and it's a BIG one!!! Because of our travel schedule she won't be able to fully enjoy opening a few presents and most of all, savoring the sweet taste of one of her favorite foods.....Birthday Cake!

Does anyone know who I could contact to secretly concoct a Birthday Cake for Linda and maybe even have it delivered to Buddy's on the 3rd? A rousing chorus of "Happy Birthday" would be an added bonus.

May thanks for all the great information we have been able to get from this site. We are looking forward to our trip and finally getting to see some of the wonders of Bonaire.

Thanks for any help!

Hi Jim, Yes contact The Last Bite Bakery the number is 717-3293 you will need a country code to go in front of that.. anyone want to chime in on that please.. Annette at Last Bite is a fabulous baker and I am sure she can deliver it as well..
Anyone else have any ideas for Jim??

Also let the flight attendents know it is her birthday and maybe the pilot will announce it over the speaker..:-):-):-):-)
perhaps you can get the office staff at Buddy's to sing for you??

Also contact Buddy Dive if Annette can't help, I seem to remember them helping to arrange cake for someone else.

We'll be on Bonaire at the same time as you!

Thanks. No plans yet. We'll be new to Bonaire. Staying at the Divi May 3-10.

Happy Birthday to Linda, as well! What a great way to celebrate a birthday ... with a trip to Bonaire. :-)

My husband will be finishing his scuba certification while on vacation, the open water dives. He did the classroom and pool part here at home. And I plan on lots of snorkeling. And if I get lucky, will be able to do the horseback riding trip if Marion can fit me in with another group.

April, Linda & Jim,
If yall would like to get me to Bonaire, I will happily party with you on the 8th! I have no plans either...:-(

p.s. I can bake cakes, clean dive gear, sing "Happy Birthday" with the best of 'em, and I consider myself a professional Bright drinker.

References available on request:-)

Thanks, PegiSue. Wished I had room for you in my suitcase. :-)

Regarding the Bright I keep hearing about. I take it if I love Corona, I'll love Brights? Is it similar, only better?

I really appreciate your offer, PegiSue! Linda refers to me as her "caddy" on dive trips like this, and I sure could use some help!

Is indentured servitude legal on Bonaire?

Either way is good. Usually served with. Your choice. Mmmm...a cold one watching the sun set.
Priceless!
