Let's try this. I know I have places I want to see while on island but don't know where they are. I'd like to post the places I need to "find" in hopes of someone telling me how to find them. Feel free to post your own "finding" needs and hopefully someone will help you too. Here goes...

Rose Inn
Sera Largu (sp)
The house where you buy the chicken on Saturday
The Conch Shell Pile (I always dead end at Lac Cai)
Any and all Caves
Butterfly Sanctuary
Lighthouse, not the one on the south end nor the one in Slagbaai
The Mangrove Center

Ok....that's it for now. Hopefully others will join in with what they want to find. I'll probably come back with more. I'm such a pest when I have a trip pending. :-)

Already thought of another one.

Water Taxi to Klein

The Rose Inn is at a crossroads in the town of Rincon - inland. Rincon is pretty small - you won't have any trouble finding The Rose Inn once you get to Rincon. Maps are available at most accommodations.

The Mangrove Center is very close to Lac Bai where people windsurf. Again, a map will be helpful.

The Water taxi is available at Bonaire Nautico Marina, right in front of the restaurant "It Rains Fishes".

Please do not despair if people give you directions based on "landmarks" rather than actual street names and intersections. That is just how things are in Bonaire.

No despair, this is my fifth trip. I'm used to it. One problem...I have been to Rincon several times and have never found the Rose Inn. :-( Of course, I have never found the entry for LaDania's Leap either.

Oooo... good topic! Thanks for starting it! I'd also like to know the location of the freshwater caves that you can snorkle in.

And Patricia, I love 'landmark' directions, especially in a strange place where I'm all google-eyed at everything to see instead of peering at roadsigns. :-)

33 days to go!

Tribs,
It so happens I am on a quest to document these sites on my website. Although not complete here is a collection of pictures I've put together on the web for all to enjoy. I have this vision to have images of all dive sites for new visitors to preview prior to their trip. I'm going back again in August and have a whole laundry list of must take pictures to add to make this more comprehensive. If anyone has pictures to add send me a PM and I'll get them posted in the appropriate group.

Greg

What absolutely beautiful work on the dive sites. I can't show these to my wife because she will leave me for you....

We are on a quest to photo a Queen Trigger. The only Queens we've seen on Bonaire in years are babies over by Sorobon. They are absolutely the most beautiful fish I've seen on Bonaire. Any contacts with the Queens of Bonaire???

Bill,
I've seen a couple of queen triggers but they are pretty fast and avoid the camera and lights like the plague! If I come across one in August I'll make a point to study his patterns and see if we can get a picture to post.

When you have time check out this video I made last August at:
