Day Two has dawned, can you believe how many crazies are up at this hour !! Ok, so I am up too. In this home of “Diver’s Freedom” there are those that desire to say what you can say, where to dive, how to dive, what to wear (or not wear), what wattage dive light, dive tool size does count and how to enter the water. (I usually fall, not graceful but effective.) If ya dive north, take more tanks it’s deeper there; dive south, take more Amstel cuz there is way more to watch. Protect yourself against theft…. yep, don’t leave your camera on the seat, or your designer shades on dash or if you must, make sure the windows are down to save on your deductible. Crime is on the rise, hell it has been since Capt’ Don dropped anchor and the best places to stay seems to be determined by creature comforts not the quality of the reef and friendliness of the dive staff. Should I move to Bonaire…. Aye there be the question we all ask of our selves. Rare be the person that can stay…but each and every one is very special character..

BUT !!!!

That being said, this, my retirement from retirement has brought forth dear friends long hidden. So I will rejoin this unruly mob, for I had forgotten one thing, you are all lovers and supporters of Bonaire !! therefore you can’t be wrong.

Hi, Barry! My buddy is still in Lombok....appearance #4 next week before the "officials"....ugly stuff. Hope his retirement improves soon for him. Hope his properties on Bali are intact and still belong to him...heard horror stories about how outsiders can "lose" properties they have purchased, etc. Geesh. Happy retirement, Joe!

Boat Chick <g>...was on Bonaire 2 years back...the old 2 a year trips to Bonaire gave way to cruises with diving, trips to Turniffe Flats for diving and a couple rv trips to FL for diving...Did not realize how much I missed Bonaire until I was not at Habitat for New Years eve...

Hi Kelly

We just checked in to Don's at 4:30 am on Sunday after 30 hours travelling. So only two dives so far and fantastic juvenile fish are about. Just out front by the blocks we found two French Angels one 3/4 inch and on 1/3 inch, little cherub fish and juvenile butterfly fish.

May be we will bump into you at the bar.

Maybe not as I see you on an other post you get here on the 26th and we leave on the 25th. Did I get that right?
