So the week in summation:.... take copies, leave copies, use your computer, transfer data to disc, stick, remember where the originals ???

AND once you clear immigations/customs (a long and arduous task) you need your driver's license and credit card to pick up your ride. . whose got the biggest in room safe, hide everything that doesn't fit in the safe and now we check into the dive shop..we need a credit card and a C card, so out come the originals, then back to the safe to lock up the originals in the room. Down to the dock, get on the boat, dive, take pictures come back leaving requlations in the rinse tank and camera on the boat...Off to diner, out come the credit cards and cash just in case somebody doesn't take cash...having fun yet ???? So let's see, we have left a copy of our credit card, c-card and drivers license with Mom/Dad or friends...AND with airlines, car rental, dive resort, dive shop, the Chartreuse Flipper for dinner....

Back to the dock, claim gear and camera has been stolen by the heinous theives of Bonaire .... Find out the criminal (aka Boat Capt) has left your gear and camera with the front desk.. (oooppps)...Gear up for the night dive, oh-oh he has the keys to the lock...who signed up for nite tanks. Doesn't matter it's 8PM and there are a couple left. Out comes the airdraft landing lights... amazing what they do with ni-cads anynmore.. inbound KLM DC=11 mistakes dive lights for the airport and neatly lands on the ex-donkey preserve...plan on diving the "Rock" once somebody decides where it was

AND THIS IS ONLY DAY ONE !!!

Well Kelly, it's Friday evening so I say relax & put a few down. I'm exhausted just reading this posting. Bonaire really is a laid back experience.

Kelly,

You started out: "the week in summation..." and ended with "AND THIS IS ONLY DAY ONE!!!"

I really can't wait to hear the rest of the week!!! :-) Any traffic jams?

I always found even the worst day on Bonaire (except the day we all have to leave) is better than any good day back home. That's Bonaire. :-)

Day Two is being written as the sun rises and our loyal members race to be first to find something on the webcams. :-)

Hmmm. Well, it's the luck of the draw, I suppose. I'm loyal even after experiencing....well, the safe wasn't safe. Going back again this year, though, because we love the island.

I can't stand sugarcoating though, don't have much of a sweet tooth. And sometimes, reality bites. I don't mind reading realities. What happens to people is real. The important thing is learning from it.

I guess I "race" to the webcam thread in the mornings as well. Nah, not race, it's just part of enjoying life, watching Bon wake up before the sun reaches me, needing to see the sun and talke with friends, on and about a place that I love (though it's NOT utopia, and not perfect, it's pretty dam* fabulous).

Kelly, I agree with Barry - "I always found even the worst day on Bonaire (except the day we all have to leave) is better than any good day back home. That's Bonaire."
Sorry for all the problems, I hope everything smooths out for you and you have a great time for the rest of the trip!
98 days, but who is counting?

LOL... I am sorry you misunderstood. I am not yet on island, I was reading the daily threads posted on Bonaire talk and doing a summation of the somewhat humorous subject... I thought the KLM DC-11 landing at the Donkey preserve might have given it away :-)

I will however be there on the 26th.

As to the worst day on Bonaire being better htan a good day back home you must have missed the waves of Hurricane Lenny.
