I see that Annette and Maria, among others, fare from the London, England area. Linda & I will be vacationing in London in the latter part of July.

Anyone interested in meeting up for a dinner? We're there (staying in Paddington or thereabouts) from July 19th to the 30th.

Jake

Hi Jake and Linda,

I'm not quite in London, it takes about 1 hour by car because of traffic, perhaps half an hour by train. Although at this point in time I dont get the chance to go much further then my local shops, due to looking after an elderly parent who needs care.
But would like to wish you all the best for your stay in the UK, and hope you have a great time.I'm sure there will be lots to see. Ive always wanted to go on an open top bus which does a tour of the London sights, weather permiting. still that's another one of my ambitions. Also Ive never seen the London eye yet, which is fairly new, and as for the Dome well they will probably pull that down by the time I get round to it.
Is this your first visit here.?
Anyway have a safe journey and hope the weather will be nice for you.

Just wanted to say what a great web site (Bonaire)Maria.

Hi Jake & Linda

We are about 100 miles North of London near Rugby, but if you want to see Stratford on Avon or Warwick Castle we could take you round.

Jake,

I've been to Stratford & Warwick castle. I highly recommend the visit. Just driving through the countryside to get there is very nice.

Jake,

Let us know when you'd like to meet up for dinner. Contact me privately and I'll let you have our phone number etc. If you'd like to visit the ancient city of Winchester (about an hour on the train from London) we'd be more than happy to give you a tour! And if you'd like to go diving in the English Channel we'd be glad to arrange it.

Fred

Fred, I don't know how your navigating skills are, but if Jake and you are gonna make a dive, let me know, I'll be waiting in Holland with warm soup... :)

Annette,

Are you still open on the 20th for a BBQ or lunch/dinner?

Sorry we're so late commenting but it's been a rather frazzling last couple of weeks with all that we've been taking care of here on Bonaire.

Brian & Fred - check your e-mail!

In all cases, we'd be using tubes/trains, I guess.

Linda and Jake, have a great trip and relax and go with the flow! I am sure the kids will have a ball while you are off on the other side of the pond, too....sometimes kids need some space, too...right? Hope everyone has a wonderful time and the traveling is a breeze and that Jake's toe heals very quickly so he can navigate on foot without any difficulties! We await your detailed trip report upon your return....Carole

Thanks, Carole.

We're already getting relaxed just thinking of our time away :-) Packing is almost done, which is a first for us - getting it done before midnight prior to day of departure.

I took the toe on a dive today to clean the ReefCam (I fortunately had some old booties which already had holes where my toes were, so I just expanded the left one a bit to avoid pressure on my toe (and no fins - that would have hurt). I hope the salt water rinse did it good :-)
