Hi

Not sure if anyone can help me. On June 11th I paid for an online subscription for the Bonaire Reporter. I paid via pay pal. My payment did go through, but I have not been sent any info as to how to log onto the newspapers site to start my subscription. I thought that maybe a link would even be e mailed to me once a week with the new subscription. I am not sure how the subscription works. I tried to e mail the address that was listed on the paypal account, but I have not heard anything. Does anyone have any contact info for me?

Thanks
Karen

Hi All: Did anyone have trouble getting the pictures on the reporter this issue? This is the first time in 2 years that the pictures were grey, words were good. Peter

While I usually don't have any problems downloading the current issues of BR, this week's issue only appears blank, except for for masthead. Also the web-page for this week's issue looks different, without the links in the usual locations.

WRT Karen's original question, while I am unable to locate the exact e-mail address for addressing issues with the e-editions of BR, I recall the following as the address: bonsat@ieee.org. Perhaps someone else can confirm that address.

Follow-up to my last post. Seems the only page that is blank except for the masthead is the first page. All other pages are fine!

Thanks Vince. I will e mail George. I did send an e mail to bonsat@ieee.org, but I did not hear anything back.

FYI Peter: My husband and I stayed in your unit the beginning of June. Had a fabulous stay in "F" til we can came home from Pasa Bon Pizza and the hot water heater flooded the front room! Soaked up the water with some towels..and the next day they put us in an oceanfront 1 bedroom. So you have a newly repaired or a totally new hot water heater as of June. :-)

Peter, Dr D

I had the same problem and also got a warning that the PDF had features not supported by my version of Adobe Acrobat V5. I went to www.adobe.com/acrobat and loaded V8.1 and all is ok now.

You can also ignore the warning about Acrobat - or at least I'm not having any problems with Acrobat V6. There are possibly some features that will not work with my old version, but all seems OK still.

According to the web page - web@bonairereporter.com, or subscribe@bonairenews.com should work. I thought I had another address, but can't find it right now.

Had no problems pulling it up. Has anyone noticed that the Reporter is now available every 2 weeks. Bo longer a weekly publication. I miss looking for it every Weds.

Let's hope that it's because it's the last week of the month and it's part of the 4 issues per month ritual.

I wish!
I noticed this two weeks ago on Thursday when I went to look for my Bonaire Reporter fix.

The one online was the last weeks, and on the front page, it said:

quote:

The Reporter is now published every TWO weeks. NOW, new lower subscription prices.

Since it says a subscription is for 48 issues, I guess that equates to approximately 2 years now.

Yeah, I went through just about the same thing you did. The opening web page is kind of vague. However if you check the subscription page you see that the yearly rate is now $25 instead of $35. Apparently those of us that already have a one year will be extended appropriately. I'm a little surprised, they are usually very clear about whats going on.
