Having a discussion with the other half today-- it was brought up how strange it was - that when we brought a tire to Lisa's Gas to have it fixed-to our surprise there was an inner tube in it. They patched the inner tube and put it back into the Radial tire and put air in it. What gives?? Haven't seen an inner tube used sinse the late 60's!

All our tires have inner tubes. With all the cactus spines, etc, there is a thriving industry for tire repar shops.

All is a very strong word Michael. My tires don't have inner tubes. I do agree that most do.

I do not want to become embroided in a tire controversy so I will amend my statement re all and change it to most. Yes all is a strong word especially in reference to tires as our good friends at Firestone found out. However, Walt, most of my friends who had tubeless tires have since added tubes because most of the tire repair guys can't plug a tubeless tire when it goes flat. In that case, the operative word all becomes more relevant or at least may be generally used without having being suspect or referred to as an overgenralization. Don't you all agree?

Heck, I remember my initial surprise with my first car when I discovered that I didn't have inner tubes (coming from a time when I had spent years riding bicycles I thought all tires worked that way).

And, I have no idea if my tires have inner tubes or not. First I've heard of it. Would certainly make it easier to repair for cactus punctures...

I do agree Michael. I just couldn't resist.

I also asked when I got my tire repaired why it had a tube and was told that with the corrosion on the rims some tubeless couldn't hold a seal....
