Hi, thank goodness we'll be back in Bonaire in about five weeks. You don't hear from us very often (we're lurkers), but we keep in touch with what's happening through BT. Peter and I will be arriving May 18th and departing June 1st. We'll be at Captain Don's. Some friends of ours will be joining us, at this time it looks like five or six more people. We're looking forward to meeting the BT group

I'm glad you brought that up! Can you start some sort of campaign in Holland by fans and supporters of the newlywed royals to get them to appear on the WebCams while they are here on May 11th and 12th? :-)

We would certainly love to throw a BT BBQ in their honor too, but I'm not sure if that's something they would even deign to participate in, considering that Linda and I aren't Dutch citizens (and recent Dutch legislation prevents dual citizenship :-( ).

Martin, Steve and I will be in Bonaire May 25th to June 2nd...we will be at the Bel Mar...1st time there..we are usually diehard Sandollar fans..but are checking out something new while dock is being built...we will be back there in Nov. Hope to run into some of you!

You and Linda are good representatives of current residents of Bonaire who take part in and for the whole island, with businesses that support and promote Bonaire, and Support Bonaire. Certainly 'good citizens' if not Dutch citizens, and worthy of note. I do suspect that you have an uphill fight against all the local self-interests for a function like the BBQ; could produce quite a houseful, too! As you said, best to drop the hints in the Netherlands. Maybe not the BBQ, but the cams are a novelty still and do promote Bonaire, especially if they are divers.

Okay now that I know what it stands for and that it's us too.....
Bob and I will be in Bonaire from 5/26-6/2 for our first trip there and will be at Captain Don's.

Can't wait.

Barry and Sherry Baker will be on island from the 4th of May to the 19th of May staying at Coco Palm Gardens.

Jake and Glen, I know that at least the prince is a diver. He (as most of the male members of out royal family) toke his dive courses at the Amsterdam office of the diveschool I'm working for in Rotterdam. This doesn't mean I can talk him to our BBQ, but I'll send them a link to this site. Maybe (just maybe) they will show up on the cam's.

You all know what you're looking at if you see a large amount of people with ear plugs and small mic's in their shorty in front of the reef cam....

Oh, Wow - royalty on Bonaire!! I am referring to, of course, the Fabulous Bakers!!!! Martin, you simply must meet Barry & Sherry. Red Creek has adopted them as honorary students. And Meryl! I wish I could be there to see all of you. As for the "official" royals - they should be so lucky as to meet Jake and Linda, the true king and queen of the sea. Has me wondering, tho...is it difficult to dive whilst wearing a tiara??

Hazel, You as our one and only princess must know how it is to snorkel with a tiara? Diving is in most cases just as snorkeling, but a bit deeper...

Oh, Martin, dahling, I NEVER snorkel wearing my tiara - it musses my hair...

Oh, my, what a shame, it looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good on you, you must wear it during your long snorkling trips, you just have to!!!!!

Someone can correct me, but I gather that Tuesday evenings at Gibi's is the default meeting place, so we'll be there and hungry on the 21st of May, OK?

Kevin and I arrive 21st April, and leave on 5th May. We are staying at Bonaire Town Homes. And yes, we are going to Gibi's on the Tuesday [23rd] evening for dinner. Hope to see some of you there.

For all the others, does any of you has a sugestion for an evening we can have a BT dinner??? I'ld like to keep my dinner date with Hazel a small one, just the 2 of us...

Martin I think we share only one day together on the island...we arrive on the 25th and you leave the 26th....we usually go to Captain Dons on the first night in....good food/bar/and hopefully music...I have to check our tickets I think we get in around 3ish...so would be there about 5 or 6.

Yes Jake, Kevin and I are joining in the 22nd April Reefcam Dive into Earth Day. And count us in for the potluck BBQ later that day.

Martin, my family (wife Kim and 3 children) and I will be staying at Cheri Sweetnam's rental from 4/22 until 5/1. The information I've read on this board has been immensely useful in preparing for our first trip there. It would be great to have a chance to meet some of the "regulars" who post here. Of course, once we leave home, we'll be "off the Internet" for the duration, so I'll check back here before we leave to see if y'all have scheduled a get-together, picnic, dinner, etc. My 12 year old son and I plan to do our cert dives for OW with Wannadive, so maybe we'll run into other "BT'ers" there during the week.

Meryl, as I've managed to loose your e-mail address (again), I just wanted to pop in here and wish you a great vacation on BON.. (and everyone else for that matter). Doubt I'll be back here for a bit as Hugh and I are leaving for the States in a little over a week and I've got heaps to do..

I think we should get together at Gibi's on "Koninginnedag" (Queensday), wich is april, 30-th. For those arriving later in May, send me a mail at mweger@chello.nl, I'll check it more or less regular... You can also leave a message at the front desk of Caribbean Court, wich is located right next to Plaza.

April 30th is also Rincon Day - quite a fun festive time in Rincon! Definitely should do something that day since it's a holiday (and the kids are out of school too)

Another lurker... I've been cruising through BT finding out all sorts of good info for my first visit. I (we) will be staying at Crown Courts 44a from May 7 thru 18. 12 Days, 14 hours, 44 minutes away.... I can't wait. There will be 6 of us in total, all divers, at the house. We're planning on finding a few of the cams for folks back home. Thanks so much for all the info! This website rocks!
