Thanks to everyone who made our trip to Bonaire much more relaxed and enjoyable by providing lots of useful information.

Since there are so many "regulars" visiting the Bonaire Talk site, I'm wondering where everyone is from. Care to share your city, state, or country? Seems like we've gotten to know you by just seeing your comments so frequently. We enjoy them as well.

Tom and Nancy,
You can also check-out user profiles by 'clicking' on the posters name; most of the regulars have posted profile information (and if they haven't, they should).

...in windy Wyoming, 30 miles from Casper, near the center of the state. Smack dab in the middle of a sagebrush prairie. Lots of deer, proghorn, fox, coyotes, and this morning, Golden Eagles right outside the school gate eating road kill. Some of the "regulars" live in cities that have more people than the entire state of Wyoming!

I live in North Andover, Massachusetts which is twenty minutes north of Boston. I'm a country girl and don't venture into the city often. I also live about a twenty minute ride to Salisbury, Seabrook, and Hampton beach. If I travel north on 93 I reach the beautiful White Mountains in about an hour and a half. It is a great location, but I rather live in Bonaire!!!

Saxtons River, Vt is in the southern part of the state..if we ever have a BT reunion in New England (Chet & Jean ?) count us in..maybe when Jake & Linda head this way..anyway the tulips are starting to poke their heads out of the ground and I saw a bluebird checking out the birdhouse today..spring is here !!!

A BTer reunion would be nice, but New England is a long way from Northern Illinois (McHenry); I quess we'll just have to wait for a reunion at Gibi's next February (7:00 PM, Tuesday, 25th). That's only 319 days, 12 hours, and some 30 minutes!
But, if anybody is going to be at "Our World Underwater (26-28 April), let me know, maybe we could meet. We don't spend the weekend there, but we do plan on visiting for a couple hours.
Also, We've now been back for little over a month; trip report is comming along - maybe get it posted this weekend.
Chet
P.S. Hi Debbie and Josie!

Well seems like we have people from everywhere. So I should chime in and represent the nation's capital, Washington DC. Well actually our home is in Burke, Virginia, just 15 miles from the White House. My office is 1 block from the White House. I can see that DC is not the vacation spot Bonaire is on this board. But if someone needs a little help with traveling in DC, drop me a note and I'll see if I can help.

I'll see yunz in Bonaire on June 26. I finally get the wife and kids out of the good old USA for a while. (The yunz is Pittsburgh for you guys. Just trying to bait anyone from my home town)

Pat

I'm a newbie to this board and am surprised to see so many people from the US NorthEast. I'm here representing the sunny South, living outside Atlanta,GA.
I have lived in various other parts of the country--DC area (Silver Spring, MD), Houston, St.Louis, upstate NY (Saratoga Springs), Dayton, OH and Pittsburgh, so Pat, I completely understand yunz.
Also Pat, my current plans are to make my first visit to Bonaire on June 26!!! Maybe we'll see each other (above or below sea level).
BTW, anyone, how is the name of the island pronounced? Is it BO-nair, or BAHN-air, or maybe even BUN-air? Don't want to sound like a rookie when I start saying the word rather than typing it. ;-)

That would be great either way. Leigh Ann is also going to be there at this time. Maybe with everyone's approval we can all get together. I'm with the family so two young girls will have to be reckoned with. Seems the late May group is going to have a wonderful get together.

Where at in the Burgh?
Also what airline? Our paths may cross during the travel. AJ for us.

Hi Tom and Nancy...

My husband and I don't contribute that often to BT, but we do spend a more than normal amount of time on the site and we really enjoy reading everyone's comments about "our" island. We've been visiting Bonaire every year for the past ten years and are in love with the island and it's people. We live in Danbury, CT - 45 minutes from Cheshire where I lived before we were married...many long years ago.

Hi everyone! My fiancee' Scott has a time-share at Divi Flamingo and has been coming to Bonaire for the last 8 yrs. This will be my 2nd visit. We'll be there on June 29th for two weeks. Have been following BT and would love to meet any and all who are on the island then. Scott dives regularly, but I'm just a sun, sea, and warm breezes person (so far)! We hail from Sebastian, FL. It's on the east coast of FL south of Daytona and north of Vero Beach. It's been raining here for the last 4 days straight and Bonaire is only 12 days away!!! Can hardly wait!!! Please keep us on the "list" and let us know when and where to meet!! Sounds like great fun!!
