I found this link on a local news site while looking for a weather update. Do you think the editor every visited Bonaire? Shore diving off of sandy beaches?? Plenty of beach chairs available??

Interesting Tom. I went and perused it as well. Seems like the list is based upon travelers' comments. I read through some of the Bonaire postings, agreed with some, wondered on what planet some of the others came from because they didn't match my dinner bill (same restaurant and same period of time in one case). I couldn't see where they found the "sandy beaches" entries for Bonaire. In fact, I read one review that complained about one of the nicest beaches on Bonaire. Go figure...

You left out the best part, Tom. This site suggests shore diving off of Klein Bonaire!! I suppose we should just cross a bridge to get there???????!!!!!!!!!

Good eyes Tish! I was wondering how one would shore dive, enjoy a picnic and dive Klein without using a dive boat.

C'mon guys...where's your sense of adventure? You could shore dive off Klein Bonaire after you recover from your surface swim!!!

You give it a try, Gini, and I'll visit you at the hospital while you're recovering from the ordeal. :-)

Tish,
I said "you" could do it after "you" recover from "your" surface swim...I'm not stupid enough to try it!!! It's a nice thought that you'd visit me in the hospital though!!! By the way, any word on Samur yet?

Yes, Gini. I just found out that the guy who was supposed to know the owners does not. So I no longer have a source of information. Sorry!

Tish - you're right, I did miss that. When I read it I was so confused I overlooked pointing that out!

That was FUNNY! Shore diving of Klein, let's see, paddle a kayak, 1 hour or so to recover and get rehydrated... 2 tank dive... Avoid streneous exercise for 6 hours to avoid all possibility of DCI... Either return late or spend the night there... What a trip!
