david, i agree with brian...the roads in the park can be really rough. it's not at all like a park in the states. the only places the roads have anything even resembling pavement is where the rain has washed them out regularly. even then they can be really bad. and it's one-way so once you commit to the tour you have to stick it out all the way thru. we've driven thru in a sedan, a jeep, a van, and a truck. the truck was the easiest and it was still an adventure.

David...I'm with Pat and Brian. The roads are rather challenging. Avoid the park if it has rained recently. If it has been dry and you have a truck, you might want to try the short route. We did the long route on our last trip and I was about 4 months from having broken my tailbone for the second time. Not as traumatic as surgery, but still not pleasant. The long route didn't really bother me that much, but we got out a lot and walked around and I think that helped.

we loved the blow hole too. it didn't used to be marked and we missed it on our first few visits. last year my brother in law was visiting and wanted to see an iguana. overachiever that i am, i not only found him one iguana near pos mangel, i found him two...on the path, having sex. highlight of his trip. i should post pictures (the one i took on the way back to the car was great...the male was having a cigarette and the female was looking bored...LOL)
