Maybe you should post that on the webcam section. When I go to the webcam section it is nice to be able to find just webcams pics and not everything else. I think it belongs in another place.

I agree! Mostly because I look at the webcam section to see the pictures that I miss during my work day. If you browse thru lately, there are very few. I have not gotten up the courage yet to admit that I am addicted and pay my membership, but admit I am very close!

Phil I do agree with you. If desired to exchange gifs, I'll be happy to try starting a gif site, but this site is MAINLY for the cams. I think the postings here should be more cams.

Like I sayd in another tread, I sure like the gif's but at the same time I think this site is not the place to post them.

I haven't been checking for BT site for several months (real life got in the way!), but have just dropped in again this week and am amazed at all the gifs. Hardly any fish captures etc. We have just booked our 4th trip to Bonaire, for next February, and I'd sure like to see the day's fish & divers when I check the board in the evening.

I must admit that when i come here to look
at all the cam pics that i have missed while every one is sleeping and hope to find some interesting things to learn about Bonaire, ie: fish names, sights that happen, and daily happenings on Bonaire , i find that it takes for ever to download the days chat because of the gifs...but on saying that i also do enjoy some of the small gifs that correspond with the topic at hand...BUT this is a great learning tool and would apprecaite more cam pics.
How to resolve this...guess restraint is needed

OK, my 0.2 nafs worth. I could be wrong, but I date the gif eruption to the recent death of the cams, no underwater pics, so old pics and gifs got posted. Then the gifs took on a life of their own. I have to admit I have down loaded a bunch of the gifs. In fact folks at worked have begun to believe I may be 'gif-ted', or just plain touched.

At work, the topics load quick, at home, a bit of a chore, I always have another window open, so I can goof off in other areas, while I wait for Bonaire Talks to load, so I have enjoyed the gifs, but they also reduce my Bonaire experience...cripes, talk about a moral dilemma.

I think some folks have a problem with moderation. I think people would have fewer problems with this if it wasn’t so much. I’ve seen other sites that have a limited number of ‘emoticons’ which allow you to insert a couple hundred or so different tiny images of animated smiley faces doing different things. I somehow find this less overwhelming. I do however enjoy it when people are creative and actually spend the time to create something themselves instead of downloading a gif from somewhere else. I certainly want this place to continue being fun for everyone and I would hate to have rules imposed. I just want to encourage moderation.

are the "Discotheques" still open on the island. what is the dress code for the clubs - are shorts ok?

I run with snork, the GIFs are funny and keep the Webcam page alive. I connect at a slow 44KBs and don't have a problem.
