Hi..I'm trying to make some plans our flight gets into Bonaire on Saturday evening at 6:30pm. Sunrentals has offered to do some grocery shopping for us. I'm just trying to figure out what all I'm going to need them to pick up. Are any of the Grocery stores open on Sundays?

Cash also works at these stores. They ring up everything in local currency (NAF, but also called Guilders) but will accept US$ (at the conversion rate of 1.75 NAF to $1 US, which is what most others do as well even though official rate is 1.78 NAF per $1 US.) Means $10 US = 17.50 NAF; $20 US = 35 NAF, etc. Change is always given in NAF/Guilders. Cultimara does not seem to have any issues in accepting $10 and $20 bills, but may balk at $50 and $100 because of fear of counterfeit bills. Best to only bring bills of $20 and smaller, or credit cards/ATM cards.

Just kidding, don't be sorry. That's is why we put the list together, to help people.

You were not impolite, I was just having some fun with you! Joan says people take me to seriously some times when I try to make a joke, maybe she is right.

Regarding groceries, I have a new favorite to pack for Bonaire: those Crystal Light singles packs. You can easily pack them and you just drop one in to your bottled water- instant iced tea or lemonade, and they're designed to dump into water bottles. A great idea if you are traveling with kids who pine for something more than water.
