Not sure where to post this-I looked at the forecast for the next 10 days, it seems to call for a lot of showers. Are these just the quick showers that we've experienced there, or are you experiencing a lot of rain right now?

Mary,

When I was there this past week of 4-11, it rained sometime at night and during the day it was sunny most days, overcast a few, but no real rain to speak of. Hopefully, some locals will chime in here. Enjoy your trip, it is not rainy season on Bonaire yet.

When is rainy season in Bonaire?

Cathy, I would say it can start anytime from November through Jan and sometimes into Feb., but it seems to change every year as what month gets the most. Last year, November was the most rain Bonaire got in over 60 years, this year may not be like that. Bonaire normally doesn't get a lot of rain, usually 11" all year total is the norm, so even in what you would call rainy season, you may just get a shower every day at some point for a short period of time, then the sun comes back!

I guess my concern was that the forecast was for t'storms four days in a row. I'm a little paranoid, with the AJ problems and just wanting to catch some sun.

Mary,
You'll probably get plenty of sun and enjoy the occasional clouds and showers. :-)

Hi Mary!

I really don't think you should worry about lots of rain! I had lots and lots of sun and sure you will too. The rain will not last and like I said, when I was there it was when I was sleeping, so relax and have a great time! I think you will be looking for shade! Bonaire is very hot right now. Happy trails to you, Mary! Enjoy your vacation!
