I ride quite regularly (preferably English) and would love a day to ride between dives when I'm in Bonaire for 10 glorious with my husband (Western rider) this August. I'd love to get any information about riding... where, who, how much... also, how are the horses, what kind of horses, etc. Is it worth it and should I bring my boots etc for one day's ride??

Bonnie,
You can email Marion directly marionbonaire@bonairelive.com They have several new tours and offer western or english... As far as the boots are concerned... leave them home.

Thanks, Jan. I just emailed Marion and hopefully will find out much more.

I can already tell (from this website) that even though this is our first trip to Bonaire it won't be our last ;-)

See you in August!

Bonnie, Sherry is the horsewomen and I am not.
She has several of her own here in the US and rides in Bonaire and could tell you the details better. I ride too, but she can tell you more information.
I do know Marion and know that she is dedicated to her horses and loves them dearly.
Sherry will fill you in on the rest.
Have fun!

Bonnie,

Marion's not particularly computer or 'net savvy, so it's not surprising that she's not been exposed to BT :-)

My daughter Yana rides (lessons) with Marion's daughter Bibi just about every Sunday. Horses are well taken care of, and the surrounding countryside out in the "kunuku" is nice.

Jake

From what I've heard so far, it sounds like the rides that Marion provides are really worth the time and money. She has been very friendly, and the pictures she shared with me show very well cared-for horses, which is important to me. Thanks, Jake.
