Hi All,
Guess what I discovered today? When I bought my hot glue gun many moons ago in the states, I bought the wrong glue sticks. Augh!

So if anybody is headed this way soon, I could use a couple things:
1. SureBonder .44 diameter All temps glue sticks
and
2. double sided carpet tape 2 inches wide, very long would be good

Thanks,
Linda

Hi Linda,
I'd be happy too. Unfortunately I'm not heading until September 14, 2002. However, if you do need anything, email me at dvleemin@jpvleemingpc.com.

Darryl, I guess that means I have a lot of time to fill that space in your luggage, eh?

Seriously, Linda forgot to add one other important item:

1 large pickled Daikon Radish (bright yellow, found in thick plastic in oriental markets)

Thanks!

Jake

Hmm, a pickled Daikon Radish. Never bought one, and never looked for one. They might have them up here though. We have quite a few oriental markets up here. If you just wanting it because its bright yellow, I can also bring you a lemon :)

Darryl,

I'll get you your list closer to your departure date. And no, a lemon is not the same as a daikon radish (although the color is about right!) :-)

(Daikon radish is what's used to make Oshinki Maki at Sushi Restaurants, by the way!)

Linda,

We are leaving on Thursday for Bonaire, so I went and picked up the gluesticks and the tape. I don't think the tape is 2 inches though, more like 1 1/2,is that close enough?

And Jake,

we have the Tazo Chai tea for ya, but I don't have the pickled daikon. Sorry! So how would I go about finding you once I get there? Is your office easy to find?

Danielle

Wonderful, Danielle! Linda will be thrilled (the 1.5" will probably be fine - it can certainly be put to good use. Thanks!

Our phone number is 717-6773 and our house/office is where the WebCams are located - see http://www.BonaireWebCams.com/FAQ.php for directions.

Have a safe trip!

Jake, let us know if there is anything else you might need. We always try to bring along toys for Bart Snelder's little boy at Wannadive and some other small toys for other kids, so we would be more than happy to bring along anything legal and not of enormous size. We will be there on April 3.

Linda,

I will be coming to Bonaire April 20 through 27. Staying at Buddy and will be happy to try to locate your items and bring them with me. Not sure how good a price I can get in a small WV town however. How many glue sticks and how long do you need the carpet tape. When I get the information I will check town and give you the cost and availabilty.

I'm visiting your beautiful island in Sept 2002 and would be happy to bring you some small items.
I usually have room in my dive equipment bag. Let me know by email: dangoff@comcast.net

Just a quick note for items to bring to the island... I hear that paperbacks are a nice donation item. You can leave them at the dive shops (so I have heard) & they get passed around.
