My best friend and I are heading down to Bonaire for a guys dive trip and vacation. We choose Bonaire for the diving first, but would not mind having some fun after hours. I understand that prostitution is legal but that is not what we are looking for. Are there any stip clubs on the island?

Ok, since I have no interest in this but some info, I will speak. First of all in Antigua there are many brothels and I went to one a few times for late night BBQ outside in the courtyard. It had the best chicken at 4 AM after disco. What a hoot. The women who worked there hung out on the upper balcony when not working. They were from the DR and Columbia and always had curlers on...lol..I never went it needless to say. When I heard Bonaire had one I was curious being a former health educator in communicable disease so I had a professional dialogue with a man about it..As far as I know this place is managed with strict health rules. It might have a strip club component. I am not sure. And from what I heard they do LOTS of biz when the cruise ships come in. (crew or guests..duno?)

So, I am not an expert here but it is early on Cape Cod and maybe I will regret posting this later..LOL

Rob,

No strip clubs on Bonaire (at least not like in the U.S. sense), but there is a legal brothel called "Pachi's" - big bright sign for them on Kaya Nikiboko Nord - about 1 km west of the Catholic Church and Caribbean Fasteners. Not sure of any of the logistical details of their operation, and their phone number isn't in the phone book (at least not anywhere else I could find), but if you drive by most nights, you'll see pink lights :-)

Was there any special reason you gave directions by way of the Catholic Church. Grin

I did kind of like the irony of the directions, but the reality of the situation is that the church is one of the most prominent landmarks to use for giving directions around Kralendijk.

I think this is one topic I will leave untouched, however, I do know the owner has been complaining tha business was bad.

The last time we were in Bonaire, we noticed a very old cruise ship passenger on the arms of two very young but obvious prostitutes walking towards the Catholic Church area. I guess I shouldn't be suprised it is legal, since it is legal in Amsterdam. What an uncomfortable life these young girls must have!
