So sad to hear about the passing of Princess Margaret. Our condolences to all Brits. It's my understanding that she had a tough go for a long time, and that her health had gone down hill recently. What a shame to have this sadness in light of the Queen Mother's jubilee.

It's the Queen's Jubilee (50 years on the throne), but the Queen Mother will be 101 this year (I think last year was 100?!) Yes, Margaret had her share of rough times.

The queen has had her portion as well... 50 years ago she was crowned because of the passing of king Hendrick (her father) and now, in her jubilee year her sister dies...

Yep...Us "Royals" have a tough time of it one way & another, but we soldier on.
Actually Josie, the "girls" Mum will be celebrating her 102nd next time around.
Just goes to show that a lifetime spent waving from the back of a horsedrawn landau at ones adoring populance, with little more physical activity than lifting smoked salmon sandwiches to ones mouth, has a lot to be said for it!
