Hi, guys! We are presently paying dues to both RCI and to Interval International. We are owners of two timeshares with Divi (Aruba and Bonaire).

Can anyone tell me which one I should hang onto? We don't trade off/deposit our properties/contracts as we love to return to Bonaire every year.

I'm not even certain which company is connected to Divi any longer, either. It was Interval when we bought the Aruba timeshare in the eighties and then when we purchased the Bonaire contract they were using RCI.

Does anyone know if I must pay for two separate memberships as we own two separate units/contracts?? Do I need to pay dues for the Aruba unit and also for the Bonaire unit separately?

Any advise or input and information anyone can provide will be gratefully accepted and welcomed! Ayo. Carole

Carole,

If you don't trade, dump them both!.. I also belong to both since I have other timeshares in Fla that I thought I would trade...I've never been able to work a trade thru either II or RCI

Carole,

When we had our timeshare at Lions Dive (back then it was called Coral Regency) we had RCI, like Gregg says, we never traded so we cancelled our membership. We had to still pay our maintenance fee, but we didn't pay for RCI anymore, especially since we knew we were only going to Bonaire. Good Luck!

Thank you, guys! I think I will just let them expire/lapse...both of them. I don't even use them for travel discounts....I either book things myself or we can use Joe's AAA or whatever else we have in our wallets!

Thanks again. Every bit of money saved is money towards Bonaire and spending it down there! LOL. Ayo. Carole

Carole, my timeshare is in Canada with very good trading power and we're with II. I had a request to get into the Divi for 10 months last year with no success, so ended up trading for Vegas and booking Bonaire separately. I phoned the Divi and II several times checking. You SHOULD be able to book Divi without RCI or II because Divi is your home resort, so if you don't trade elsewhere, they are not worth keeping.

Thanks, Lorraine! That's exactly what we do....we only hit the Divi resorts as we love water and sun so I can't see the need to keep paying dues to either one of the plans/clubs. I will let them both expire/lapse and spend the saved money on something while we are in Bonaire! Ayo. Carole
