Good day all,

I notice on the weather data on the cam we have 13" of rain since July. Isn't the annual total like 16? What is the rainiest Bonaire has seen in recent years oh, the past 25? I love rain and am so happy the gardens and donkeys are getting drinks ....

:-)

Check the weather report for the next days, we`ll have more rain for the next 4 days and perhaps more. maybe this is a record for this island

I suspect the record rainfall will also be met with a record amount of mosquito breeding. Note to self - buy stock in deet! Time to chant: Rain, rain go away ... 48 hours and counting until departure!

The rain is causing problems here and there I guess...just talked to my parents who live on Bonaire - they have severe damage in their garden because of the rain that came down from the hills this morning. The water even reached the bedrooms!
Hopefully the 'usual', sunny, weather will be back soon...
(and I already thought we had a lot of rain when we were on Bonaire a couple of weeks ago)

I guess we can't tell everybody that it never rains in Bonaire anymore! I hope that the problems of this unusual amount of rain doesn't cause too much damage.

I have said this before, but when I was on Bonaire over the millenium, it rained and it rained and it rained. We gave up taking our wet suits off. We just drove from site to site, in our jeep with no top, with our wetsuits on.

The streets were red with red sludge from all the fireworks papers mashed with the rain.

Seems like in a weeks time got about 3" rain.

Dave
