Dinner was very nice. We started with Soybean soup, followed by fried rice and fried noodles and ham with marinated cabbage. Next up was duck, Canton style, followed by a Chinese sausage chop suey. Dinner closed with some candied fruits, vegetables, and ginger. All for just north of $20/person.

In attendence were:

- Bob & Maida Liquori
- Josie & Alan
- Bas
- Michael Gaynor with Diana Gevers, her daughter Daphne, and Diana's parents (who all live on Bonaire)
- Mimi
- Linda & Myself

I have pictures - maybe I can convince Linda to format them and post them for me :-)

Hi all,

Agree with Jake,... dinner was nice, lots of different stuff, all very tasty. Also it was a nice get together allthough I don't think everyone showed up. Good to meet some new people and had quite a few good laughs too.
Looking forward to saturday's turducken party,.. that should be good :-)
Jake,...I made a head start on the soup (because it will take a whole day and I also want to dive saturday) I pealed 16 coconuts today. Tomorrow I'll get the flesh out and grate it. Anytime tomorrow that we can try out that machine to grate it down?? I might also need to have a go at your palm trees on the beach for some extra nuts if some of mine turn out to be bad. All the ones I have left now from my own trees are not dry enough yet.
Coconut fish or chicken soup?...any preferences???

Bas

Bas, I vote for coconut fish!!!

Yes, the dinner was fun. We had LOTS of food --- just kept asking for more of whatever we wanted and it kept coming.

Next BT social event is Tuesday, the 12th, 7 pm at Gibi's Terrace on Kaya Emerenciana (spelling??)

See youu there. Can't wait for Turducken also!
Josie
